Science FUNdamentals at its best in the 'Silly Science' class! Your child will learn basic scientific concepts by doing hands-on experiments every week. These little scientists will be talking all week about how they made cream freeze into ice cream in just minutes, and how they brought the dinosaurs back to life with homemade fossils. Ages 3-6 years. 45 minutes. Drop-off.

Mad Science School-Aged Workshops are hour-long programs filled with hands-on activities that kids get to do themselves. Each workshop includes a take-home project – something the students have learned about in class, made themselves or received and then get to take home with them!
Mad Science has over 30 workshop topics available, ranging from experiments with dry ice to touching a Van De Graph Generator. Mad Science workshops are SOL correlated and great for schools, scout troops and daycare facilities.
Mad Science also offers pre-k workshops, birthday parties, camps and spectacular high-energy shows with audience participation and entertainment.

The Center for Creative Arts is on the campus of Shady Grove United Methodist Church in the West End. Using Lego NXT robotics kits and laptop computers, The Center offers robotics camps and classes that introduce students to robot design, basic programming, engineering practices and competition strategies. The Center also sponsors two teams that compete regionally in the fall.

The MathScience Innovation Center offers 21st Century math and science programs for K-12 students and teachers. Adult-child programs are offered as well as Saturday programs.
