Joe's Inn Bon Air has been voted a favorite in "Family Style" and is famous for it's baked spaghetti but also has deli subs, pizza, fresh seafood, steaks, and big salads. They offer breakfast seven days a week with a Sunday breakfast buffet. The Kids Menu, for children 12 and under, includes pasta, mac n' cheese, spaghetti, burgers, and chicken tenders and they have coloring books and toys for children. Joe's Inn Bon Air also has a kid's night on Wednesday with magician and juggler, Jonathan Austin. If you can't stay for lunch or dinner, they have a separate entrance for takeout - Joe's Out Bon Air. The Dairy Bar is a family institution, serving Richmond for 62 years since 1946. They have also been recognized as one of the 10 Best Places to Eat for Breakfast and Lunch. The Kids Menu includes chicken tenders, hamburgers, grilled cheese, and PB&J sandwiches, all served with smiley fries, a drink and ice cream treat (cup or cone). Children can also enjoy coloring the cow logo placemats that adorn the walls of the restaurant, and on occasion scoop their own ice cream and watch as the shakes are being made. The Dairy Bar Restaurant is non-smoking, handicap accessible, open Monday-Saturday 7am to 3pm and Sunday 9am to 2pm.

Grandpa Eddie's is a very family friendly restaurant. They have wikki stix and Nickelodeon® on a 50 inch TV. As well as live music every weekend. The kid's menu includes BBQ sliders (small sandwiches), kids ribs, mac n' cheese, chicken fingers, etc. Each kid's meal is served with a beverage (dine in only) and any side, apple sauce or celery sticks. Children and families are welcome to come for the live music (starts at 8:30, Friday and Saturday) there is no cover charge and the bands are always family friendly.
